USDC on Base

Accept P2Flux
without building the integration

P2Flux is a non-custodial payment service for direct USDC payments on the Base network. The buyer pays from their own wallet and the money goes straight to the merchant's wallet in one transaction, so there is no P2Flux account to open and no P2Flux balance holding funds. Through PaymentHood the merchant's whole setup is the wallet address that receives the money, and the customer pays on P2Flux's hosted checkout page.

What is P2Flux?

Coverage
P2Flux does not run merchant accounts, applications or an approval queue, so there is no country list to qualify for. Payer and merchant wallets are screened against the U.S. OFAC sanctions list.

Among the markets P2Flux serves — their own list is authoritative (opens in new tab).

Currencies
  • USD

Among those supported. Which ones your account can charge in depends on its registered country.

Fees
Set and billed by P2Flux, and published on their pricing page (opens in new tab). PaymentHood adds nothing on top, at any volume.

Written against P2Flux's own documentation on . This page deliberately states no fees, no counts and no completeness claims, because those change without notice — for anything you are about to build on, P2Flux's own documentation (opens in new tab) is the authority.

Payment methods

P2Flux payment methods

Every method below runs through the same PaymentHood checkout. Turning one on or off is a dashboard setting, not a code change.

USDC on Base

Circle's USDC, sent from the buyer's own wallet straight to the merchant's wallet in one transaction

No ETH needed

For one-time payments the buyer can pay the network fee in USDC instead of holding ETH

Cost

P2Flux fees and pricing

Two separate bills, and only one of them exists.

What PaymentHood charges
Nothing on your P2Flux transactions. No percentage and no per-transaction cut, at any volume. Every payment feature is free, and the optional Premium plan only adds white-label checkout branding.
What P2Flux charges
P2Flux sets its own rates and bills you directly. PaymentHood never sits between you and that invoice, so switching to or from P2Flux changes what you pay P2Flux and nothing else.
What moves the rate
Payment providers price per market and per method rather than as a single global figure. It also accepts several kinds of payment, and card, transfer and wallet rails each carry their own cost.
Where to check the figure
P2Flux publishes current rates on their pricing page (opens in new tab). That is the authority, not this page. We deliberately quote no numbers here, because a rate that has quietly changed is worse than no rate at all.
Integration

How PaymentHood works with P2Flux

A direct P2Flux integration is not just an API call. These are the parts every team ends up rebuilding — and the parts PaymentHood ships already done.

Credentials
No account or API key. The merchant's receiving wallet address is the whole setup, saved in PaymentHood and checked when it is saved
Webhook security
Received on a PaymentHood URL that names the order. P2Flux does not sign its webhooks, so the notification is only a prompt to check the payment
Payment verification
Server-side check against P2Flux's verify endpoint, and the payment must match the one PaymentHood created, before an order is marked paid
  • Idempotent charge creation, so a retried request never double-charges a customer
  • Automatic failover to another configured provider when P2Flux is unreachable
  • One reconciliation view across P2Flux and every other provider you run
  • Provider credentials never reach the storefront or the customer's browser
  • Adding or switching a provider later is a dashboard change, not a re-integration
Setup

How to connect P2Flux

1

Open your P2Flux account

Register directly with P2Flux and complete their onboarding. Funds settle from P2Flux into your own bank account — PaymentHood never holds merchant money.

2

Add the credentials to PaymentHood

Paste your P2Flux API credentials into the PaymentHood dashboard. They are stored server-side and never exposed to your storefront.

3

Enable it at checkout

Install the PaymentHood plugin for your platform, paste your PaymentHood API key, and P2Flux appears as a payment option. Test in sandbox, then switch to live.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

It never holds the money. The buyer's wallet pays the merchant's wallet in a single transaction on Base, so there is no P2Flux balance, no payout to wait for, and no P2Flux merchant account or approval process. The trade-off is that the buyer must pay in USDC from a crypto wallet, which suits some audiences far better than others.

US dollars. PaymentHood creates the payment in USD and the buyer pays the same amount in USDC, which P2Flux settles on Base. A PaymentHood sandbox app uses P2Flux's test network (Base Sepolia) with faucet USDC, so you can try the whole flow without real money.

No. P2Flux has no merchant accounts and no API keys. You give PaymentHood the wallet address that should receive the money, and PaymentHood refuses an address that is not valid when you save it. Use a wallet you control, because that is where every payment lands.

Not for a one-time payment. P2Flux lets the buyer pay the network fee in USDC, so a buyer holding only USDC can complete the payment.

P2Flux does not sign its webhooks, so PaymentHood treats a notification only as a prompt. It checks the payment with P2Flux's verify endpoint and confirms it is the payment it created before releasing the order. If the wallet that paid is flagged by P2Flux's sanctions screening, the payment is held for review instead of being captured.

On P2Flux a refund is a USDC transfer that you send from your own wallet back to the payer, so you pay the network fee, and partial refunds up to the original amount are allowed. Refunds started from inside PaymentHood are not available for P2Flux yet; until they are, refund from P2Flux directly.

Not at the moment. P2Flux offers recurring payments of its own, but PaymentHood's P2Flux connection handles one-time payments.

P2Flux states on its security page that its contracts have not yet had a paid third-party audit. It says the contracts' source is published and verified, that they hold no balance between transactions, and that there is no admin who can move merchant funds. These are P2Flux's own statements, so read its security page (opens in new tab) before you decide.

No. PaymentHood adds nothing to what P2Flux charges: no percentage, no per-transaction cut, and no volume threshold where that changes. P2Flux bills its own fees through the payment itself, and you keep that relationship. PaymentHood's only paid plan is Premium at $29 a month, which adds white-label checkout branding and nothing to your transaction cost. See PaymentHood pricing and P2Flux's fees page (opens in new tab).
